Hermès Birkin 35 Palladium Finish Bleu Nuit Togo Leather Tote
Every Birkin traces back to the same story: Jane Birkin on a flight in 1984, spilling the contents of her straw bag and telling the man next to her about the lack of practical bags. That man happened to be Jean Louis Dumas, the labels artistic director at the time, and the bag they sketched together became the Birkin. This one comes in the 35 cm size in bleu nuit, a navy dyed deep enough to look black under low light and only reveal its true color in the sun, worked into Togo leather. Palladium hardware runs through the piece instead of gold, a cooler tone that also happens to need less upkeep over the years, practical in the same spirit as the bag itself. The front closes the way it always has, two straps buckled under a turn lock, a clochette and padlock still hanging off the side. Made in France, dated to 2016, pre loved and authenticated in house.
