The Western trend and the cowboy aesthetic
The western aesthetic has established itself as one of the must-have trends of the Autumn/Winter 2024-2025 Fashion Week. Spotted on the runway of Achilles Ion Gabriel at Pitti Uomo in Florence, the cowhide pattern seen on bags and trousers dominated the catwalks. However, it wasn't until the exclusive Louis Vuitton show designed by Pharrell Williams that the cowboy trend was definitely back in fashion. Fringed trousers, cowboy boots and Stetson-style hats all contributed to a memorable show.

Extreme cut for suits with big shoulders
Extreme cuts were also a major trend at Men's Fashion Week. It was evident from the first days of Milan Fashion Week, when some models walked in suits with huge shoulders and tight waists, reminiscent of Thierry Mugler's power dress code of the 1980s. Whether ripped at Gucci, worn close to the body at EgonLab or adorned with a destructive collar at Dior, suits are reinventing themselves and continue to surprise us.

(Faux) leather for men
In a nod to the cowboy trend, faux fur has literally taken over the catwalks in the form of coats for this autumn/winter 2024-2025 season. At Giorgio Armani during Milan Fashion Week, the furs showed a leopard print on the lining of the coat or on the zip-up jacket. In Paris, it was presented at the Drôle de Monsieur fashion show and at KidSuper, worn by Brazilian football legend Ronaldinho.

Classic coats in bold colours
Get ready for next fall with a colorful coat that is your best ally. From Valentino's sky-blue version to EgonLab's crimson red and Balmain's pale pink, the coat remains a staple in the men's wardrobe.

Elegant, classic coats
If colourful items aren't your thing, the more classic version of the coat remains a great option if you're hoping to survive the freezing temperatures next winter. It appears in brown at Givenchy, in a long version at Gucci or even in wool at Ami. The classic coat brightens silhouettes and is now worn with a pair of thick, tall boots.

Men dare to have XXL bags
While the accessories at Louis Vuitton's show were probably among the most eye-catching at this Fashion Week, such as the iconic Speedy model, the bags presented on the catwalks tripled in volume and appeared in XXL sizes. At Prada, the tote bag was enlarged and Valentino reinvented the moon bag with increased volumes. Finally, at Balmain, Olivier Rousteing introduced his XXL bags in gold and sky blue.

Appearance highlighted by jewellery and ornaments
In addition to cowboy hats, turquoise jewellery can be found in a number of looks on the Louis Vuitton runway. They take the form of buttons on shirts and jackets, discreet earrings and topstitching on jeans. As for Olivier Rousteing's Balmain wardrobe, it's punctuated by standout accessories, such as head jewellery and striking gold-plated metal hats. The faces of some of the models appear to be split in two or completely covered by a Daft Punk-style gold helmet. Finally, brooches made a comeback at the Dolce & Gabbana and Fendi shows.

Sexy tops - a daring trend
Men's fashion week was also marked by sexy men's looks. At EgonLab, tops with scarves showed skin, oscillating between grunge and sexy effect. At the Dior show, models' torsos were displayed under bead-embroidered tops with a sheer effect, and at Ami, tops were presented in sheer or nude versions. As for the Burc Akyol show, it presented a new fashion version of the red crop top, set under the sign of sensuality.
