Beymen 50th Anniversary Exhibition
Valentino, Balmain, Stella McCartney and other famous names created Turkish-inspired clothing masterpieces for the luxury store's fashion anniversary.
This month, Beymen - Turkey's Bergdorf Goodman - celebrated its 50th anniversary with the opening of the "Golden Splendor" exhibition at the Tophane-i Amire Culture and Arts Center in Istanbul. The exhibition, which will be open until December 15, features 50 masterpieces of clothing from world-renowned designers and brands, including Valentino's Pierpaolo Piccioli, Victoria Beckham, Christian Louboutin, Dries Van Noten, Tori Burch and Tom Ford, among many others. All looks were created for the exhibition in the luxury store.
Upon entering the art centre, visitors are greeted by a dazzling gold mini dress by designers from Turkish sister duo Dice Kayek, which appears to float in mid-air in a glass chamber in front of a stunning digital artwork by local artist Hakan Yılmaz.

Later in the exhibition, the Valentino pieces on display - a dress, a cape and a fabulous version of the iconic Locò bag - are done in the fashion house's iconic pink. Both the dress and the bag are embellished with a single tulip pattern - the official flower of Turkey.

Victoria Beckham also has an iconic model: an elegant cream trench coat, decorated with simple, delicate feathers and white crystals.

Stella McCartney stuck to her sophisticated silhouettes and monochromatic ensembles for her "Golden Opulence" look - a long-sleeved gown with a back in bright red. She added a bit of Turkish extravagance with large white crystals scattered evenly throughout the length of the dress.

In addition to the exhibition, the Beymen celebration of fashion will conclude with a documentary by award-winning British filmmaker Hadifa Wong highlighting Turkey's influence in the fashion industry.
