Burberry expands 'ReBurberry' circular efforts to second-hand goods platform Vestiaire Collective
A new way to resell Burberry clothes.
Burberry announces a collaboration with Vestiaire Collective, the world's leading resale platform, to offer customers a new way to resell Burberry clothing.
UK and US customers are invited to resell their clothing and bags on the Burberry x Vestiaire Collective platform in exchange for a Burberry gift voucher. Vestiaire Collective will then offer customers a price for their used goods. Once the price is accepted by the customer, the item must be shipped to Vestiaire Collective where a rigorous authentication and quality control process will take place. All Burberry items sold will be available for purchase worldwide.
As part of the partnership, Burberry donated selected Heritage coats to the platform. Proceeds from these items will be donated to UK charity Smart Works, which provides clothing for job interviews and support for unemployed women in need. Burberry has supported Smart Works since 2013, donating products to the charity, which aims to help women fulfil their potential in the world of work.
This new partnership is part of the ReBurberry programme, which aims to bring customer initiatives to life and support the brand's ambition to keep products and materials in use for longer.
