The CHANEL Cruise 2023/24 show made a stop in Shenzhen, Southeast China.
On this occasion, the House presented a teaser directed by Inez & Vinoodh. The backdrop of the film is the skyline of Shenzhen and the palm trees of Los Angeles. Dressed in designs from the Virginie Viard collection, they move in a cinematic setting, caught between dream and reality, where the golden age of Hollywood meets the golden age of aerobics.
After Los Angeles last May, the collection, created by Virginie Viard, was presented at the Shenzhen Bay Sports Center in a new setting created for the occasion as a black and white sports field.
The collection once again reveals the many facets of its colourful, cheerful and elegant universe with every glance. Between the world of sports and roller skating and the glamour of 1920s and 1930s movie stars, embroidered swimsuits and jeweled miniskirts gave way to 1960s-style suits, casual robes and pajamas, jackets and evening dresses worn with 1930s shoes or disco platform sandals.
