Two years ago, Kylie Jenner wore a white sleeved Atlein dress in photos posted on Instagram. "I discovered this brand through my stylists," says Kylie Jenner . "I had just given birth and I remember not feeling well, but I loved this dress." That the star is now revealing a new collaboration with Antonin Tron, Atlein's creative director, is no surprise. She's a fan of the designer and chose to work with him on a line for his clothing brand Khy. "I always feel so confident and comfortable when I wear Antonin's designs. I am a big fan of his intricate draping and layering," says the young woman.
Established last year, the Khy brand has one calling: to offer cutting-edge silhouettes at affordable prices. "It was very important to me that all the items in the first collection were under $200," Kylie Jenner said at the time. Kendall's sister also intends to work with her favorite designers, she says: "Antonin Tron was one of our first choices. When she called him to discuss the partnership earlier this year, he was immediately on board. "What I see in Kylie is this ease of style and freedom. She's a real inspiration to me," says Antonin Tron.

The collection, developed in collaboration with Atlein and presented today, includes tops, bottoms and dresses in Antonin Tron's signature draped jersey. It was released on September 26, and prices range from $88 to $198. "Each of his pieces has a sculptural feel. I really admire Atlaine's craftsmanship. We wanted to make something that was comfortable to wear and super easy to layer," she explains.
Some items were inspired by images found in Atlein's archives. For example, the deep gathered midi dress was inspired by a design created by the brand a few years ago. "We added the sheer-edged dress at the last minute, and it's one of my favorite things," explains Kylie Jenner. While the entrepreneur drew inspiration from the designer's draping, he explains that he was inspired by the star's sense of sophistication and his creative process. "It was very fluid," says Antonin Tron. "We wanted to introduce the brand to a wider audience, so we took inspiration from my signature elements, like the draped T-shirt dress, with pleats and asymmetry, and tried to condense them into a unique aesthetic."

The colour palette is inspired by "autumn in California", explains Antonin Tron, an avid surfer. "It's kind of like Paris and L.A." Kylie Jenner and Antonin Tron create their basic tees in shades of seashell, gold, cherry, citron, blue and black. "We explored a lot of possibilities with the color palette and I'm delighted with the result. The last color we chose was this deep cherry red, which is perfect for fall," says Kylie Jenner. Although cherry and citron are two colors that don't necessarily go together at first glance, the star and designer wanted to blow that association up and take some risks. "I like unexpected color combinations. You can combine tops with skirts," explains Antonin Tron.
Kylie Jenner has already incorporated several items from the collection into her everyday look. "I love our cropped pants and bikini tops," she says. "We also have an asymmetrical dress: it's so easy to wear and suitable for any situation. It reminds me of the first Atlein dress I saw and fell in love with." For her part, Antonin Tron says he wants women to feel confident and comfortable in his designs: "I want them to feel empowered."

This isn't the first time Kylie Jenner has partnered with a new designer. Her second collection was created in partnership with Entire Studios and her fifth with Natasha Zinko. As Khy celebrates her first birthday in November, Kylie Jenner says more collaborations are on the way. "I'm committed to working with brands that share my vision and that I'm a true fan of," says Kylie Jenner. "I'm so inspired by the idea of working with these amazing designers that I dream of being able to offer this to my clients. I'm very excited about that."
