Gorgeous, delicate and classic in its simple beauty - the ultimate luxury collection for Spring/Summer 2024.
In this spring/summer collection, Virginie Viard explores the relationship between Chanel and a unique place for creativity - the Villa Noailles, built in the hills near Hyères in the South of France. Viard also continues the direction set for a rewrite of the Lagerfeld archives - mainly from the 1990s. Hence the choice of location.
Lagerfeld, who is passionate about architecture and photography, first came across the villa in 1995. "It has survived more than 70 years in ruins, but without losing its spirit. It was loved, then abandoned, forgotten, until one day it was the perfect symbol of everything that is considered modern today."
To capture the holiday mood near the exclusive building, Madame Viard recommends wearing tweed outfits and full bathing suits (don't forget to throw a light, perfectly tailored coat over your shoulders), pleated, plaid and lurex dresses, denim sets, suits with loose skirts (the kind Coco herself loves).
