Wooden shoes popular and this summer
Wooden shoes are more popular than ever this season. And as every summer! Straight out of the 1970s, these objects of desire returned to the catwalk during Chloé's fall-winter 2024-2025 show thanks to the house's new artistic director, Chemenna Kamali. She revived the boho-chic trend with a wardrobe punctuated by flowing ruffle dresses and a play on transparency. Other fashion houses, such as Isabel Marant and Jonathan Anderson at Loewe and JW Anderson, followed the trend with contemporary variations for spring-summer 2024.If wooden shoes are a must this summer, it's because they're as comfortable as they are cool. We're used to pairing them with flowy floral dresses with '70s accents to cultivate a boho-chic look. This summer, we're opting for more body-hugging dresses like we saw on the runway at the JW Anderson resort 2024 show.

There's no better way to up your cool quotient than a pair of leggings and micro shorts. Seen on the catwalk during Isabel Marant's Spring/Summer 2024 show, they infuse the silhouette with a bohemian edge and reflect a deceptively casual look through ultra-feminine cuts.

The 70s garment in all its glory! Like the catwalk of Chloé's autumn-winter 2024-2025 show, we're going for a typically bohemian style, combined with denim and lace. A style that is synonymous with natural, sensual, strong and effortlessly free femininity.

Bucking the bohemian trend, Simone Rocha chose to collaborate with Crocs to create shoes with the brand's signature flirty aesthetic. The result is designs encrusted with all manner of crystals that give the garment a poetic approach to workwear.
