A few days before celebrating New Year's Eve, the former Spice Girl posted a selfie-style video showing the community and her fans the dress she plans to wear... a sober black silhouette with asymmetrical draping. On the big day, however, Victoria Beckham seems to have opted for a different outfit - a satin black corset reminiscent of the ones she wore in the 2000s. Back then, she wore a series of minimalist outfits before indulging in some rather retro-futuristic combinations.

Key actress and Cannes Film Festival regular, Adele Exarchopoulos, opted for a Vivienne Westwood corset embellished with François Boucher's 1747 painting Le Rapt d'Europe, taken directly from the house's spring-summer 2023 collection during the photo shoot for the film Élémentaire en 2023. Since then, other celebrities have been spotted wearing corsets, including Bella Hadid, Gigi, Rihanna and even Nicola Peltz Beckham, Victoria Beckham's sister-in-law, who chose a garish red model to celebrate Christmas with her mother-in-law.
