Sara Cavazza Facchini builds the modern language of femininity
In 1973. Gianni Versace took over the creative direction of Genny. Twenty years later, in 1993, he created a design for the brand that resembled a geometric grid, complete with a tassel, a motif that became a recurring graphic element. Today, creative director Sara Cavazza Facchini brings this detail back to the catwalk in a more romantic interpretation, adding a heart at the bottom of the tassel. This iconic motif reappears in the autumn-winter 2025-2026 collection, presented during Milan Fashion Week. The collection is the result of an in-depth journey through the Genny archive, which holds models and prototypes from 1962 to the present day. Unconstrained by the past, Sara Cavazza Facchini builds a contemporary language of femininity, ranging from refined jackets and cardigans to loose trousers and elegant coats. The show was opened by supermodel Isabelli Fontana.
Genny's fashion show in 5 memorable looks
The checked coat with light pink leather details and a slight retro touch, combined with an airy satin skirt, white top and purple knee-high boots, embodies the elusive line between bourgeois elegance and casual chic.
This cardigan from the Genny autumn-winter 2025-2026 collection is a modern interpretation of the classic model. Crafted from herringbone-effect wool and paired with buttoned trousers, it features a criss-cross neckline and heart-shaped buttons.

If there's one thing that should be a must-have in the wardrobe of the modern woman, it's the dinner jacket. In the black and white version, with an asymmetrical play on the lapels of the jacket, it manages to be masculine and at the same time very sensual, conveying a concept of timeless but always refined elegance.

Smooth satin trousers that flow smoothly down and fasten at the ankle are a symbol of free and sensual femininity. Enhanced by the contrast of the structured jacket with its fitted lines and matte finish, the look embodies the perfect balance between minimalism and attention to detail.

The combination of shirt and trousers is always a combination of style and comfort, glamour and wearing comfort. With the tie, which is actually a bow tie, and the geometric tassel motif that echoes the one created by Gianni Versace in the 90s, it's the key to casual femininity.
