Zendaya tries out the top hairstyle at New York Fashion Week

If you've been following the beauty events of New York Fashion Week, you're already familiar with wet hair. Seen on models Helmut Lang, Ludovic de Saint Sernin and Prabal Gurung, the calculated look quickly made its way onto the red carpet at Dune: Part Two on superstar Zendaya.

First of all - no, the hair is not actually wet. Instead, the strategically layered products weigh down the hair to create the effect of wetness. Backstage at Prabal, hairstylist Yavara dips strands in Root Shoot Foam, Glam Mist Spray and Pearl Styler Gel (all from Wella) to create a similar effect of hair just caught out of the elements.

Zendaya is not the only celebrity who is a fan of wet hair. She's been seen everywhere from the Met Gala to Sofia Richie.
